OTTAWA'S PREMIER HOME STAGING COMPANY

YEARS before HGTV and A&E began flooding the airwaves with programming about Home Staging, sisters Judee & Donna founded Room Remedy Home Staging Co. Their decision to pioneer the home staging industry in Ottawa was in response to a rapidly changing real estate market.

 

THERE was no doubt that home buyers were becoming busier, with less time for house shopping and little interest in homes that would require any maintenance or repairs. Buyers began to show greater interest in ready–to–move-in homes that were neutrally painted, well maintained and nicely presented.​ 



IN 2002, the concept of home staging was still in its infancy in Canada, so the Home Stagers at Room Remedy were pounding the pavement visiting real estate offices across the city. Real estate agents were being educated about the value, for both their clients and themselves, of this new real estate marketing service.​ 

WITH the good fortune to have been featured in many newspaper articles in the Ottawa area, Room Remedy was able to spread the message more quickly of the competitive advantage of a professionally staged home.

 

​IN 2003, Judee and Donna travelled to Calgary to earn their Accredited Staging Professional™(ASP™) designations to compliment their hands-on experience. 

 

IN 2008, Donna moved on to new business ventures and in 2011, Cailin, Judee’s daughter, joined Room Remedy on a full time basis.  Cailin was a natural fit for the business with a great sense of design and the extensive experience gained working with the company through her high school and university years.
